📣 Over 3 million UK workers are getting a pay rise, starting 1st April 2025. 💥

Whether you’re full-time, part-time, young, or an apprentice, you could be earning more money in your next pay check thanks to the Government’s new National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage increases.

💷 Here’s what’s changing from 1 April:

➡️ Ages 21+ (National Living Wage)

🔺 From £11.44 ➡️ £12.21 per hour

📈 That’s an extra £1,400 a year for a full-time worker, some could get up to £2,500 more annually depending on hours worked.

➡️ Ages 18–20

🔺 From £8.60 ➡️ £10.00 per hour

➡️ Ages 16–17 & apprentices

🔺 From £6.40 ➡️ £7.55 per hour

📣 This is the biggest cash increase ever for younger workers and apprentices. And it’s just the first step toward ending unfair age based pay gaps, where someone could be paid less just because they’re a year younger.

🧠 Why does this matter?

Because low pay doesn't just hurt your wallet, it affects mental health, job security, and the wider economy. Studies show that financial stress leads to lower productivity and higher staff turnover, meaning everyone pays the price.

This uplift is part of the Government’s Plan for Change, focused on:

✅ Ending low pay

✅ Raising living standards

✅ Making work pay

✅ Supporting high streets

✅ Boosting the economy

📈 The UK now ranks 2nd in the G7 for the strength of our minimum wage compared to average wages, ahead of the US, Germany, and Japan 🇬🇧

And it’s not just wages going up. The Government is investing billions to help with the cost of living, including:

💰 £7.8bn to protect the State Pension with the Triple Lock

⛽ £3bn freeze on fuel duty

🏠 £1bn for housing and household support

🔥 £460m to help people heat their homes

🫶 £25m boost to Carer’s Allowance

🗣️ Leaders, unions & businesses all agree:

✔️ Higher wages = higher morale

✔️ Better retention = stronger business

✔️ More spending = local economic growth

Whether you work in retail, hospitality, care, construction, or beyond,, this increase is about recognising your value and ensuring you’re paid fairly for the work you do.
